1972 年出生于辽宁省宽甸县，1995 年毕业于鲁迅美术学院摄影系，现工作生活在北京。王宁德的早期创作主要以摄影为媒介，近年来作品逐渐涉及到装置及其他艺术类型，并以当代艺术为背景，研究影像的语言和本质等前沿问题。他用多种形式拓展了影像艺术的语言边界， 同时描绘了对当下更微妙的主观感受。
王宁德的个展包括:2020年，奥胡斯图像美术馆，“无名”（丹麦，奥胡斯）；2018 年; Bryce Wolkowitz 画 廊，“FORM OF LIGHT”(美国纽约);2017 年 ,福特·梅森会展中心,“无名”(美国旧金山); 2014 年,m97 画廊,“有形之光一”(中国上海)；2010 ，巴黎 - 北京画廊，《王宁德作品展》(法国 巴 黎 ) 等 。
曾 经 参 加 的 群 展 包 括 :《 中 国 8 进 程 中 的 作 品 》 ， 弗柯望博物馆，埃森，德国《里里外外》，里昂当代美术馆， 法国里昂 ; 上海双年展《影像生存》，上海美术馆， 中国上海等。
他的作品被多家重要机构和个人收藏，包括但不限于以下机构：亚历山大·图切克基金会， 慕尼黑洛杉矶县立美术馆（LACMA），洛杉矶白兔收藏，悉尼重庆美术馆，重庆广东美术馆，广州湖北美术馆，武汉中央美术学院美术馆，北京中国丽水摄影博物馆，丽水Agnes基金会，法国红庐基金会收藏，伦敦Franks-Suss收藏，伦敦伯格收藏，香港Uli Sigg收藏，瑞士。
Born in 1972 in Kuandian County, Liaoning Province, he graduated from the Department of Photography of LuXun Academy of Fine Arts in 1995. Now lives and works in Beijing.
Wang ningde's early works is photography. In recent years, his works have gradually involved installation and other art types, and he studies cutting-edge issues such as the language and nature of images against the background of contemporary art. He uses various forms to expand the linguistic boundaries of photo art, while depicting a more subtle subjective feeling.
